Privacy notice

Last updated 6 November 2026

Who this covers

This notice covers timgutteridge.com, the personal website of Tim Gutteridge. If you have a question about your information, email hello@timgutteridge.com.

No cookies and no tracking

This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking tags. Nothing is stored on your device when you visit, so there is no cookie banner.

Visitor counts

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It works without cookies and does not identify you: it records things like the page viewed, the referring site, your country, and your browser and device type, and reports them as totals. It cannot follow you across other websites.

When you get in touch

The site has no forms. If you email or phone, your name, contact details and message are used only to reply and to follow up on what you asked about. They are not sold or shared for marketing. Emails are held in Google Workspace.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's servers briefly log technical details of each request, such as your IP address, to keep the site running and secure.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the information held about you, or object to how it is used. Email hello@timgutteridge.com and you will get a reply within one month. If you are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
